You can permanently delete your CardLocked account and all associated data once no lock of yours is still running. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account is not a way out of a lock. While a lock of yours has not ended — running, paused, or still waiting on a keyholder — the delete is refused and nothing is deleted or released. The app tells you which locks are still on your account. End them the way each lock already allows: play it out, ask your keyholder to release you, or use the emergency release — its usual rules apply (no penalty with an emergency password or on a lock that never started; one no-penalty release a year otherwise). A strict-mode lock has no in-app emergency release; support is the backstop there.
If you try while a lock is running, the app answers: “End your locks before deleting your account. Play them out, ask your keyholder, or use the emergency release — its usual rules apply.”
Email us from the email address on your account and we'll delete the account for you. We process emailed deletion requests within 30 days (usually much faster). The same rule applies: a lock of yours that is still running has to end first, and an emailed request does not end it.
Or write to aj@cardlocked.app with the subject "Delete my CardLocked account".
For general help, in-app Support (Dashboard → More → Support, or Settings → Help & Support → Help Center) is the primary channel.
One narrow exception: if a phone was restricted for abuse, the restriction record stays keyed to the device identifier (an app-scoped device ID on Android, a keychain ID on iOS), not your identity — so restrictions cannot be evaded by deleting the account or reinstalling the app. See our Privacy Policy for details.
